How to send WhatsApp payment reminders in a local language

Choose a clear language, verify the balance and follow up respectfully through the supported WhatsApp workflow.

The quick answer

A familiar language can make a payment reminder easier to understand. The message still needs an invoice reference, correct outstanding amount and a practical next step. Ask the customer’s preferred language instead of assuming it from their name.

Dukanam WhatsApp features and delivery conditions depend on the configured workflow and plan. Sending a message does not guarantee delivery, a response or payment. Check the actual message preview before sending.

Before you begin

  • A verified customer number and appropriate permission to contact.
  • A reconciled balance and invoice reference.
  • The customer’s preferred language and current messaging setup.

See how the pieces connect

  1. Check

    Verify contact and balance.

  2. Translate

Keep the meaning and figures intact.

  3. Preview

    Review the actual outgoing message.

  4. Reconcile

Verify payment and update the ledger.

Work through the steps

  1. Confirm the intended recipient

Use the customer contact associated with the account. Do not send to a shared group or unrelated family member. Follow applicable messaging requirements and respect a request to stop promotional contact.

  2. Choose a plain-language message

Use the guide’s language switcher to read the explanation in your language. Keep the business name, invoice number and payment reference consistent. Short sentences are easier to check than a long warning.

  3. Use a respectful local example

Confirm the due date separately when one was agreed.

  4. Preview numbers and attachments

Check the amount, date, invoice and payment destination in the final message. A translation must not alter a decimal or omit a credit. Share only the intended customer’s document.

  5. Send through the configured workflow

Use the supported sharing or WhatsApp integration and review any limits or charges. Where templates or consent rules apply, follow the current setup. Do not assume an automatically generated message was successfully delivered.

  6. Close the loop

Record a useful response or agreed date. Verify an actual receipt before marking the bill paid. Stop the reminder when the balance is settled and investigate any discrepancy privately.

The language changes; the amount does not

Illustrative wording for the same outstanding balance.

Language Message
English Invoice INV-104 has ₹1,500 outstanding. Please share the payment status. Thank you.

Every version refers to the same bill and balance. Add the verified business identity and agreed due date before sending.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Changing a financial amount during translation.
  • Assuming sending proves delivery or receipt of money.
  • Sending documents for another customer.
  • Using threats in a routine reminder.
