Create distinguishable editions
Include title, edition and format in each item name. Store a suitable SKU or barcode for the specific edition; verify it against the physical book.

Test a book and stationery basket
Scan a stored barcode or search the item, add another product and check the invoice. Confirm item-specific tax settings rather than applying one assumption to every product.

Reconcile purchases and returns
Record publisher or distributor purchases, then test a customer return. Review the resulting item quantity and supplier balance before placing another order.

Does scanning an ISBN fetch book information automatically?
This workflow searches barcodes already stored against your items. Automatic ISBN metadata lookup or a publisher catalogue connection is not promised.
Are consignment and royalty workflows included?
Do not infer them from normal purchase and sale records. Confirm specialist consignment, royalty or publisher-settlement requirements separately.

Can the owner export the business data?

Does Dukanam file GST returns directly?
No. Dukanam prepares GST-aware invoices and reports. It does not claim direct GST portal or IRP submission.
